i actually thank NanteNa, you unlike the others had spirit enuff to understand that this is a free country. and i'm glad it was easy for you the read the german and learn but i'm kinda slow. just the only problem with going to other threads is that they NEVER contact me back so i thought it would be a good idea to post my own....never mind.

NanteNa 06-25-2007 10:44 PM

Well. Instead of replying to their posts, then write them a PM with the subject of 'learning japanese' or something. It's a LOT easier to reply a PM than to keep up with ones thread.

forgottenbravery 06-25-2007 10:53 PM

what is a pm

Whats wrong with posting this i've also gone through the forums or threads what ever you call them and other people ask this EXACT question so whats so wrong with ME asking.( I don't see you getting Your panties in a knot over their EXACT SAME QUESTIONS). that is what this site is for, isn't it? (well part of it).
Saying "OMG I WANT TO LEARN JAPANESE" is kind of vague, isn't it? Usually, one is more specific at what they want to learn first. So no, my nonexistent panties aren't in a knot.

If you really do want to know some pronouns, though, TheJapanesePage.com - Japanese for FREE -- How to Wow! with language, culture, kanji, and grammar.

I did ask a specific question i couldn't find and infact it is my only question: i want to know the pronouns. I don't care about how to say i love you, or hi, i actually want to learn and you have to start out with things like pronouns, verbs, nouns etc. But NOOOO i ask one question and instantly ya'll are all like "don't start a new thread...it not good"

Who..are..you..to say that the world revolves around me! you don't have a clue do you? if you read everything, hatredwhatever completely shut me off and its not hatreds place or yours or even enyafriends to tell me what to do if you don't like it then just ignore it. you don't tell me "OH DON'T POST ANOTHER ONE ITS CLUTTERING UP THIS ENDLESS PAGEs QUESTIONS" i..can...if ...i ...want.. to!
I am a human being to say that the world does not revolve around you. Oh, and I did read everything. You obviously weren't nice enough to give a courteous reply, so why should we? I'm not saying "liek omg stop meking topix it bad 4 u" right now, so last part = no good.

I'll be looking forward to your PMs.

I didn't sound so ditsy (but i guess it comes naturally for some of us) and i was spacific

you don't have to say something pacifically to make it heard

You obviously weren't nice enough to give a courteous reply, so why should we?: YOU have nothing to do with this so why are you even enterfering...if its soooo tireing.

There are already tons of material posted here. Sift thru them. Start from there. And if there areas which are blurry, post it on the question thread.

Don't expect anybody here to teach you, just because you ask too. We learned not by postint "I want to learn help me" .. duh , that's just plain stupid. We try to help ppl here, encourage them to learn more about the language and we did not receive any cent for it. Seiryuu and HatredCopter have been one of those members here who try help as much as they can.

If you want to learn, then Learn. If you want to ask question, then ask. There are no STUPID question just STUPID poster...

I'm pretty sure there are sites for these kinds of basics.

You didn't have to quote me so why are you even bothering to reply? If it gets on your nerves.

I started with kanji first. I then moved on to learning japanese more at Learn Japanese - Japanese Language

Nihongo o Narau - Learn Japanese
is a realy good site. I learned basic grammar here and they have a good vocabulary list.

My friend is also learning Japanese and we both talk to eachother in Japanese as much as we can. It has really helped. Through my day for everything I say in English I try to say it in Japanese as well.

Hoped that helped a little. There a thread with a list of sites you can go to, to learn. One of the links also leads to language exchanges. One site I know is called kanji something I am not sure atm.

If you can't learn from a textbook or website, than you won't be able to learn from any native speaker either. I personally started learning online. Go look at samokan's japanese resources thread. If this is not possible (i don't know why), go hire a tutor who will meet your needs. You just need to be dedicated and have a good attitude. By the way, has anyone ever told you to lower yourself when asking for help? You shouldn't diss someone who's tried to help you.

That's all i have to say. Thanks!
