I'm completly against this for more than one reason.
1. Zac Efron? Seriously WTF?! NO!
2. Is there really a need for it? They already dubbed the original Japanese films which I find very entertaining because Kenichi Matsuyama was a wonderful L. The other cast members were all great as well.

Ther'es absolutely no need. imo.

I agree screw zac efron, if they cast him as the role it turn into a sucky prep fanatic movie

and the original movie was great so they dont need to make another.

I liked the originals. Why remake it when it was great as it was? I would burn all the zac efron ones immediately before they could pollute the world.
