well i only watched the first film and it was directly after i finished the anime which wasn't that good of an idea i guess...i didn't think it was bad but of course the anime was just better

I get so excited when my name is used xP

Efron ruined HSM for me. I was PSYCHED to see that movie, I was one of the many who wanted to see it. But, honestly, it was HIM I didn't like. I don't like Efron because he's a Disney star...no....I don't like Efron because he ruins everything I've ever seen him in! What a shame =P

So, on that note, I would like to say that if Efron was given the part of Light...I would higly be PO'ed. He would ruin it for me, and probably for a lot others.

Wow, all that up there was almost rantish. But I just wanted you to know that I'm not some fangirl that doesn't like Efron for being a tween pop sensation. I don't like him because of himself and his acting =)

Oh no, they can not do that! I...I can't believe someone would do that! When I first saw this thread I thought it was about that one night event on december 3 or whenever. Not Zac Efron though! Sheesh...he probably doesn't even know what Death note is, just that it sounds cool! > <

eh, i have seen all 3 of the Japanese Deathnote live actions ... but i do not beleive i would watch an American one .. it just wouldn't fit the plot ..

have yet to watch the anime yet, have it .. but waiting a bit to watch it since i just recently watched the movies.

Keanu Reeves did well, personally. I mean, his character was supposed to be emotionless, and he's a natural when it comes to that.

The director fucked the film up personally. It was a bad film.

Ash, seriously dude, i cant imagine effron playing Light. The guy cant play a serious part at all,look at pretty much every film hes been in, he always played a poppy teeny-bopper character. And i think they should get the guy who played L in the Jap movies to play L in this one, that guy was awesome. Obviously, theres the whole language issue, but y'know, was just a thought.

Does somebody have a petition somewhere I can sign? No Death Note fan I know would be caught dead watching anything with pretty-boy Zac in it. What's next, Miley Cyrus as Misa?
