I figured that much when i could never find anything on them that has nothing to do with american challengers. Nor the fact that i could never find any episodes.

I saw this a couple of times it was a reality show and you played a fake japanese game show. It had wacky games like pop balloons filled with paint with your but and dress like babies and fill bottles and stuff i thought it was cancelled though lol. it was okay it helped to kill time.

Of course not. ABC lied to its viewers. In Episode 1, the narrator clearly says "but they're really here to compete on one of the wildest Japanese game shows."

As a Japanese citizen, I probably laughed at different things in this "reality show" than the American viewers, such as the occasional use of Chinese music, the big red Torii gate at the house the contestants stay in, the wacky, non-Japanese way the paid studio audience act, etc.

In short, the general American view of the Japanese hasn't changed that much since I first visited America over 30 years ago.

While I do agree with you on the mistakes and cultural mixing it is all a joke and i do not believe that that is the general concensus on the opinion of japanese people.
