electronic music, anybody?

new to the forum, but see nobody into the e-music. anyone?
ps, i do love band & instrumental music!

Arikado 12-28-2008 12:24 AM

I've always had a thing for techno and trance...but in moderation of course. Listening to that all day might make me go crazy. :D

yukiNnight 12-28-2008 12:27 AM

i have a thing for instrument i love them

minimin 12-28-2008 12:32 AM

I think Electronic music is awesome. :)

SHAD0W 12-28-2008 12:34 AM

Sounds like a scratched CD..

allie2590 12-28-2008 12:46 AM

Electronic music FTW!

Aniki 12-28-2008 12:53 AM

I prefer bigbeat than trance or techno

reihiino 12-28-2008 12:54 AM

Bjork would be considered Electronica right? if so then I loves it...
but i cant really stand Crystal Method for too long

GhidXoraH 12-28-2008 01:19 AM

In regards to Electronic music, it is not Japanese, but it is still a very good label based out of Berlin, Germany. It is called BPitchControl, it is more of an Electro label, but it has an unique sound, in my opinion.

I am crazy in love with electro music and for some reason I can't live without listening to it this week only in fact it's the only thing I've been listening to, think my family is about to off me.

orewasenshi 12-28-2008 05:04 AM

BASSHUNTER TECHNO PWNS~

But I also like a lot of Daft Punk and stuff. I listen to freakin' everything ;D

iatethechildren 02-02-2009 04:19 AM

I recently heard a great Japanese techno artist.

Yoji Biomehanika, great stuff. :)

BucktheWolf 04-14-2009 07:27 AM

Have you ever heard of TOKYO ZAWINUL BACH?

It's like Jazz and electronica... I dunno if you'd call it acid jazz, but it's some crazy, Jazzy-ass electronica. It's strange and compelling.

Keiichi Suzuki's solo album, Captain Hate and First Mate Love, is a quirky mix of rock and electronica. Totally worth the money.

Scratched CD's are the best hahahaha.

I like the Band 'Crystal Castle' has anyone heard of them?

Ypsilanti 04-14-2009 08:51 AM

OPOPO are good electro band.
:)

Pexster 04-14-2009 08:53 AM

I haven't heard of them before.

BucktheWolf 04-14-2009 08:55 AM

me, neither. Nor of Crystal Castle :o

what kind of electronica are these bands?

Pexster 04-14-2009 09:00 AM

Has anybody heard of 'LadyTron'? they are awesome too.

@JoshAussie-I haven't heard of them either, but I like.

I shall post a video.

kMal 04-14-2009 09:04 AM

LED ZEPPELIN AND GIORGIO MORRODER!:)
I listen to a lot of different genres, and a lot of different artists/groups/bands, so I usually can't categorize them.:smokingbear:

Justice is amazing!

But not Japanese D:

@Pexter: Crystal Castle seems interesting... but also not Japanese... is this more than just a Japanese-based thread?

@kMal: Zeppelin does not count as electronica, mate x3 just for future reference. I dunno about the other guy.

kMal 04-14-2009 09:20 AM

What's the difference between electronica and electronic?:)

BucktheWolf 04-14-2009 09:32 AM

To my knowledge, syntax. There's really no difference unless someone tries to make one.

Led Zeppelin typically falls into Classic Rock, or some kind of rock genre. They are not, as a whole, electronic.

Pexster 04-14-2009 09:32 AM

@Buckthewolf-I don't think so, if it was i think it would have to say 'Japanese based electronica thread'

So I don't think Im spamming.

You are right for that matter, but Led Zeppelin ALSO belongs in the electronic(a) subgenres. You can not just label them as classic rock and be done with it haha!:mtongue:

BucktheWolf 04-14-2009 03:39 PM

Gotta be honest. I have never heard anything remotely electronic from LZ. Ever.

@Pexster: OH, in that case!

Postal Service, Portishead, Massive Attack, Amon Tobin, Gorillaz, some of Blur's stuff, Enon, LCD Sound System, Radiohead, Thom Yorke, and Second Person are ALL great electronic music.

I'm totally in love with Enon right now. They're at the top of my list.

Tsuneo Imahori did some crazy-amazing electronic work for Trigun, incidentally. He's got quite an ear for percussion.

ChiAmaterasuNeko 04-14-2009 05:10 PM

I love the Japanese duo Bespa Kumamero. My favorite song is "Totem Pole."

Go, Electronic Music!

hennaz 04-14-2009 07:35 PM

I like electronic music. If this includes chiptune (8-bit music, the sort you'd get on a Game Boy or NES game), you'd probably better check this song out. I love it!:pinksong: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5f3AN986hKU

BucktheWolf 04-14-2009 07:39 PM

That was pretty much awesome :3

Led Zeppelin belongs in the electonic music subgenre?! Now that's news to me.

BucktheWolf 04-14-2009 08:57 PM

Flat Eric is awesome, by the way :3

Aniki 04-14-2009 09:02 PM

I'll be sure to tell him that the minute he stops shaking his head.

SephirothVVC 04-14-2009 10:12 PM

alanX 04-16-2009 06:23 AM

I really only listen to electronice/trance. I don't like actual techno though. And there is a big difference between all three.

Hell, yeah, those bands are awesome ;)

I feel like I've heard Block Party, but I don't remember a lick of it.

minimin 04-16-2009 09:45 AM

I really like the Aphex Twin, I like how twisted those songs sound. I like Daft Punk, The Crystal Method, Blaqk Audio, Moby, Björk, Goldfrapp and The Prodigy.
