Go has a different dimension of building a strategy and its miniscular tactics. This is very different from chess.

I've played it and really enjoy it, but I am not very good at all. I think it would be great if I could find someone to play with and teach me how to get better when I'm in Japan.

KGS Go Server or look for go club in your town.
On KGS you´ll surely find someone who will be able to teach you, there are nice poeple from all world. I´d teach you basic things (I´m not too strong but I guess I can teach the most important things for begin) but you wouldn´t understand, I´m not able to make clear these things in english
