Yeesh... NES's were around before I was. I've never owned one unfortunately, there were some decent games on them though. Still, you got alll the Marios on Super Mario All-Stars (for the SNES).

I ought to get a Wii though, maybe. There are sooo many games I wanna play on it... just no time now >__< and I still think the SNES was the best console ever :D

Yeah me too, I'm 17. My friend gave me their NES though for nothing :D It has Mario on it, and something else, uhh Golden Axe I think maybe?

You should get a Wii they are awesome :D My favourite game console of all time is my N64. I have a real emotional attachment to it!

@Pappasmurf, Loading times are WAY faster, loading time for the PS3 version of OBLIVION were almost cut in half compared to the 360 version.

I think all those things are subject to opinion really. I guess it depends what your priorities are. Fancy graphics, extra features and so on, the PS3 wins that. It is TECHNICALLY superior. This is not something I really care about. And, of course PS3 is going to be technically superior. If Wii cost that ridiculous amount of money then it probably would too.

The price, the innovation, the orginal and quirky nature and the balls to try something new, always goes to Nintendo.

I really don't care about the graphics on a game. I care about how good the game is to play, I believe that is the point in games. It's the same as films, they can have awesome CGI but if they are shit to watch then no-one cares.

The Wii has games which I prefer.

The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, Mario Kart Wii, Trauma Center, Smash Bros - these are all my types of games.

I also think the Wii appeals to more audiences. As a female gamer Nintendo caters for me way better than any other. I hate first person shooters which are the main games on the Xbox.


Oh and Wii doesn't need to be carried. It is smashing the console market in nearly every country. You can't argue with sales.

you're right, even though the PS3 is superior, people's choices are based on their individual wants and needs.
Each system, has it's own pros and cons, and I think we can all agree that a major reason the Wii is selling so well is because it's the cheapest of the Newest Gen consoles.

In my opinion Nintendo went downhill when they refused to go to disc media for the N64, the console never really recovered from the blow dealt by the PlayStation with FFVII.

Yeah I know. PS2 is the best-selling console. Nintendo DS is catching up.

the wii is a good console, but it's not the best by performance, which is how a console should be judged, not by personal preference.

Ohh lucky :D Yeah I do too, about the N64. I used to spend so many precious minutes just enchanted by it. After playing Yoshi's Story I used to pretend to be a Yoshi and stuff in the playground at school... it was a riot. LOL this must make you all think I'm mad.

All this debate is just silly anyway... Nintendo stuff is just better, end of, OK. I only like the PlayStation for some of the later Final Fantasy games and Kingdom Hearts, that's it pretty much.

if you compare sales of N64 and original PS, the PS outsold the N64 by a killer margin..

the wii only sells so well because it's cheaply priced..
