Star Ocean for snes is my fav rpg, thats what got me into rpgs
|
Oh gosh, I've played waaaay to many random RPGs. My favorite outerspace RPG is Star Ocean, favorite FF is X, and there are so many others to list...
|
XBOX:
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Shenmue I and II XBOX360: Blue Dragon GBA: Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap I'm really not a RPG hardcore gamer. |
each and every final fantasy game barring 9 and 11, they sucked.
and probably super mario rpg for the snes! =] <<got me into rpg |
I have played way too many RPG's on the old PS1, lately I play rarely, mostly some online games.
Here are few I consider top games (all for ps1): Xenogears Chrono Cross Suikoden 2 Final Fantasy 9 And few others that i really liked: Lunar Silver Star Story/Eternal Blue SaGa Frontier 1/2 Star Ocean: The Second Story Final Fantasy 4/5/6/7/8/Tactics Chrono Trigger Tales of Destiny/Eternia/Phantasia Legend of Mana Persona/Persona 2: Eternal Punishment/Innocent Sin Oni Zero: Fukkatsu Black Matrix 00/ Cross etc etc Some SNES RPGs: Star Ocean Seiken Densetsu 3 Secret of Mana Secret of Evermore Earthbound |
Final Fantasy VII
|
NES:
Dragon Quest (all) SNES: Super Mario RPG Chrono Trigger GB: Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 (either version) Zelda Oracle of Ages/Seasons (if this counts) Any Pokemon DS: Etrian Odyssey 2 N64: Paper Mario 64 PS: Vagrant Story GC: Skies of Arcadia: Legends PS2: Kingdom Hearts 2 Kingdom Hearts Dragon Quest VIII Xenosaga Episode I Xenosaga Episode III Final Fantasy XII Shadow Hearts: From the New World Mana Khemia Persona 3 Star Ocean: Till the End of Time Dark Cloud 2 Rogue Galaxy Jade Cocoon 2 360: Blue Dragon Oblivion There aren't many RPGs I like for 360. Eternal Sonata had very little enemy variety, every battle felt exactly the same because each new area you get to has one or two different enemies. Plus, along with that, at the start of a battle the enemies will be positioned in one of maybe 2 possible positions, which means a maximum of 4 different battle looks. That takes the fun out of every battle except for the bosses. Lost Odyssey was almost the same way, it had more enemy variety but was also glitchy and the animations were bad in most scenes. I don't really like many Final Fantasy games, the only ones I've loved are FF1 and FFXII. The others have too many minigames and the environments, enemies, and battle system isn't as interesting to me as the what is in Dragon Quest. |
Xenosaga Ep.1&3 - I loved the story/plot and especially the characters.
Recently finished Luminous Arc, that was pretty addicting...I need to go get me a copy now. It came out last week ¦3 |
FF 13 Versus. even though its not out yet it gunna be AWESOME
