Jan Scott Frasier, of total Caucasian descent, worked with Matusumoto Izumi (of KOR fame), and like Tavi, Steve Bennett is part Japanese and worked in Japan in the anime and manga industry in the 80s. He now lives in Iwakuni and is a graphic designer for the United States Marine Corps. I'm sure I could think of more examples. And I am just mentioning Americans, and Americans I personally know at that. I am sure there are plenty of others.
