even that won't help lol... i mean you need some kind of portable air-con else you will sweat like crazy :-/

Unfortunatelt (to my knowledge at least), portable air-con machines don't exist (hand fans don't help much lol) so you just have to put up with it

My advice would be to maybe try looking in Kawasaki or even Tsurumi as they are a little further from Shinagawa, but you only need a single train (the JR negishi line will go straight to Shinagawa) to get there which would be quite easy for you

No idea about furnished appartments... mine had nothing when I moved in apart from floors, doors, shower and a toilet lol

How do you afford 350,000 a month? Some people don't get that much for a month. Many foreigners get 250,000 a month. How do you then afford to pay for your bills, food, etc.?

i pay 140k a month for a Furnished 2 room apartment.

200k sounds about right esp if you get a 2 yr contract, itll go down to around 120's

you wont be gettin any place HUGE, but nicer lofts and studios and one - 2 room apartments start around 200k a month.

try Tokyo apartments.com and sakura house

it really depends on your style of living

jus google

thats how i found my apartment.

call up some english speaking agencies they will show you around to houses and are very helpful

i actually live a 5 minute walk from Shinigawa sta.

Hey thanks alot, I have been looking around, just want to make sure I score a good place or resonably good place hopefully. Shinigawa is where I will be working. So my priority is something resonable close distance to work, and train :)

What do you do? And where are you from originally, if you don't mind me asking?

Cheers.
Sashi

How the hell did you get that job? You're so young and I'm sure you only got your degree not too long ago so when did you have time to get experience? Don't Japanese like to hire people that are experienced in such a field?

might want to take a look at craigslist too. i've seen places on there at much better prices than what you find on a website like tokyoapartments.com
