In Japan, At What Age Can People....

At what age can people get their driver's license in Japan? In the US we can get our Learner's Permit at 15 and our DL at 16. In my school we can take Driver's Ed at 14 1/2. I was just wondering........

Wow, that sucks. Where I grew up (also in the US), I got my license at age 14 (with no driver's ed). This was only 8 or 9 years ago, too. 14 is still the legal age to this day.

Understand that America is a little weird that way. Most countries don't let thier citizens drive before they are 18. And it ain't cheap in Japan, either.

I think that driving at the age of 14 or 15, is very very dangerous!
Why is it good anyways to let children drive?
I'd draw the line at 21. Ok, 18 is sometimes not enough.
They're too immature for that. But what I am seeing on TV, and in cinemas, here a 25 year old looks like a 16 year old american.
Any american who could tell me a few things about that?

Lucky you.........kids in Az get a permit till their 15, but aren't allowed to drive on their own. And a DL at 18. But sadly aren't allowed to drink til their 21.

Hahah yeah being able to drive at 14 but not allowed to consume alcohol until they're 21, how senseless is that? o.Ô

I think 18 is an appropiate age.
