I'll be your friend! ^_^
So whats your name?

SHAD0W 05-30-2009 03:07 AM

Kimitarusan , Its people like you who cause me to both love and hate JF. So many lols, so many facepalms.

Keep up the hard work..

HungryForRamen 05-30-2009 03:17 AM

Of course I'll be your friend! o^-^o I'm an American, still here in America, but I made up a Japanese name for myself: Ritsuko. But you can call me Rits. ^-^

I rest my case.

HungryForRamen 05-30-2009 03:26 AM

*sigh* I don't want to be her friend just because she's Japanese; I'm just being nice. The Japanese name is in place of my real name because I don't care to tell it online.

SHAD0W 05-30-2009 03:32 AM

OP is not Japanese because her language skills are awful. Japanese and English.

sakumi23 05-30-2009 06:17 AM

I'd love to be your friend^____^:D

nukiuchi 05-30-2009 08:19 AM

Konnichiwa Kimitarusan.

Where do you live in Japan? and what do you look for in a friend?

ozkai 05-30-2009 09:53 AM

Hi their!

Just out of curiosity, you quote you are Japanese but live in Japan, and then your info states you are in France with a question mark.

Are you Japanese living in France, French living in Japan, French living in France, or japanese living in Japan or all four?:)

Nothing against either, and certainly nice to meet you but your locations could be a mistake?

Kimitarusan 05-30-2009 10:49 AM

my name is Ayako ^^
oh, haha, im very sorry, i meant to say that i am japanese but living in france. (english gets very frustrating for me =P)
and shadow, i see what you mean about the lolz and facepalms.... my favorite quote so far:
"i ran it through google translator"
haha... foreign language newbs =3

Konnichiwa Ayako san:

I figured it was a language or general mistake, just thought it need clearing for the below poster before it started to jump to more conclusions:)

So how are you enjoying France?

Must feel very different to Japan:ywave:

HungryForRamen 05-30-2009 11:31 AM

Hey, now, I have to use google translator all the time D; Not my fault. xD

I`m sorry, but your Japanese is also nowhere NEAR fluent. It is similar to the level of something passed through a translator. I am finding it VERY hard to believe that you are Japanese at all.

SHAD0W 05-30-2009 01:27 PM

Thankyou Nyororin. I was about to say so myself but people would assume I was just out to start an argument.

Why don't you just PM the person instead of making Public statements on the board which only encourages the trolls, of which quite a few live without hinderance on this forum?

I cannot read Japanese, but going by your previous posts, you appear to be some sort of moderator. Am I correct?

Your Japanese translates to English on Google as this:

朧village to the highest positive.

What on earth does that mean?

The highest point LOL..

SHAD0W 05-30-2009 01:59 PM

For the last time.. do not use google!

ozkai 05-30-2009 02:01 PM

What else would you like me to use, Kimitarusan?

yunicorn04 05-30-2009 03:26 PM

you shouldn't use a translator at all because its inaccurate

I am indeed a moderator. I`m not the first person to be wary of this user, and my post is here to serve as a heads up to those who might want to be friends with this person based only upon their statement of being Japanese.

Erm... As I`ve beat the game and moved on I should probably change it but... It`s referring to the game 朧村正 which I just happened to enjoy enough to call the greatest (that thing translated by Google as "highest positive" is an extremely common word of praise in Japanese...) at the time I wrote that. *sigh*

I have to say, I`m a bit stunned that someone would so openly doubt me and yet be so ready to swallow this user`s claim line and sinker...

Because the OP is supposedly female and Japanese. It's the Quagmire effect.

MMM 05-30-2009 05:44 PM

I have never heard a Japanese person use the term 私 4 times in a single day, much less in a single sentence.

But if s/he is legitimate I am sure s/he will prove it.

nobora 05-30-2009 08:23 PM

Hi there
Id like to be your friend Just pm
me and we can talk some more ok ^_^

But what language do you speak in at home?

coldhazard 05-30-2009 11:56 PM

Yeah it doesn't make sense....
You moved to france when you were 3, but your first language is english, but find it hard to type on a french keyboard, one that you should have grown up with...btw french and dutch keybords are the same but I don't have trouble typing english

Because people often state their country.
If one cannot read Japanese, why shouldn't they believe..

Kimitarusan 05-31-2009 12:05 AM

haha, at home i speak french... and my keyboard is also diffrent from noraml keyboards... its not standard, the letters are all in diffrent places (because while i was gone, my brother pulled a trick on me, he took my keyboard apart and re-aranged the keys) but i thought it was pretty cool so i kept it that way, that was not to long ago so im still getting used to this keyboard ^^

ozkai 05-31-2009 12:06 AM

I suspect a Norweigan for some reason.. The English looks highly suspicious..

Kimitarusan 05-31-2009 12:09 AM

a norwiegan...? how on earth did you come up with THAT...?

coldhazard 05-31-2009 12:23 AM

rearanged keys huh...riiight :)

Nyororin 05-31-2009 01:29 AM

Before we jump all over the poster, let`s give a little more time to explain.

Right now, the explanations are not very convincing, however.

Saying that you are Japanese when you are not is not an uncommon thing at all. In the looking for friends area, I am willing to bet that quite a few of the users who say they are Japanese are not so. Users respond to "Japanese" like it`s the most favorable trait out there, without ever doubting. For those who do speak Japanese here, however, it`s usually quite obvious by looking at the Japanese usage...

If the original poster truly is Japanese but living in France, then there is no problem. However, I am very wary to believe someone who says they are Japanese living in France since 3 - but yet cannot speak Japanese and who says their first language is English.

Sounds reasonable. Although I'm kind of wondering why people would say their certain nationality when their not. Just to be interesting?

Hello, Konnichiwa and Bonjour:)

Would you please be so kind to step inside this debate on your thread and explain to all where you are from. I know you previously stated, but obviously nobody here is believing you.

Personally, I didn't even bother to look until I had a read of the moderators post.

Are you Japanese?

I guess that means both your parents are Japanese, right?

Were you born in France with Japanese parents, in other words, first generation French?

For me, I will quite happily be your forum friend no bloody matter where you are from, I just dislike to see users talking about another user constantly on a thread. It just doesn't seem polite, or maybe it's my older genration stance.

MOTA18 05-31-2009 02:35 AM

carlos need to have fun wiht friends

ozkai 05-31-2009 07:03 AM

JayT 05-31-2009 07:05 AM

Why is it such a deal if they're lying or not?
It's just the internet and they just want to be friends
Lying is inevitable.
