I think you need to be at least 18 +before you should start thinking about those sorts of things. You can't trust your judgement or your feelings when you're 13 or even 16, that is just way too young.

Forget age; what matters is the maturity levels of the parties involved, I think. Yes, I'm unnecessarily making this sound legal.
As long as you are aware of the possible consequences and risks involved (both emotional and physical -- e.g. babies and diseases), I say go get it when you want it. |
I think when you AND YOUR PARTNER are ready. A lot of people think because they are ready their partner is as well. Consider anothers feelings with the matter to, not just your own.
Being in high school I hear a lot of stories of teens hooking up at parties and not using any type of protection. Then once I chime in about STD's or something they get this shocked look on their faces. It honestly disgusts me how unaware teens are about this type of stuff but continue being unsafe. I take that back, its not JUST teens. but still..its sad. |
I say if you are over 18. It's disturbing to see the girls at my school that are 14-16 getting pregnant. The older ones aren't though but the younger ones are. Then hearing on The Tyra Banks show about a 12 year old being pregnant! That's insanity.

IMO they kno about the diseases and risk of pregnancy and stuff is there there just to arrogant and say ohhhh it'll never happen to me. If i were you i'd def wait until you are 100% sure you want to and that you will be ready for any circumstances that may arise. If theres any doubt at all dont do it.
