Try this trick, Ask them for their name. DON'T give yours, have them ASK for yours, if they don't ask, their not worth your time.
Trust me, its one of the greatest approaches and it NEVER fails.

Unless they don't give you their name. Then the whole facade disintegrates.

I think it just depends on the girl.
I am a girly boy, and I hate big muscle and many hair. Boo~

Many idols in Japan have more skinny build and are very clean.
Ears wouldn't be a problem? To most...
KEEP TRYING!

Fat or muscular or skinny, who cares, as long as you have self-confidence. People get girls by showing off their self confidence. A muscular man gets his self-confidence by being muscular. You get what Im saying? Just be yourself, dont be a droid ass punk nuthin'.

My girlfriend told me she never could imagine herself with a round guy, and she REALLY loves me. (So do I)

PinaYade 02-27-2009 03:03 PM

Thats so true. When a guy is not confident... he can be a cute as hell.... but a big big turn off!

But thats very mean to say... cause ppl who dont have alot of confidence....can't change that and only get more down. Sorry

While its largely a matter of personal taste and stereotypes don't hold, sometimes cultures can influence a person's preference. If you constantly see a certain body type, you get used to it and eventually the appeal grows.

But experience with relationships has just as much impact, if not more. After having a particularly nasty breakup with someone who had a definite physique, I could not stand to be around guys with the same build for a while.

These days the personality and mind, far outweigh a guy's build for me. But I have a friend in her 20's from Iwate that never misses a muscled body. It the first and foremost attraction for her. Recently we saw a guy whose facial features were ..... uh..... not easy on the eyes? But when the tshirt came off he had muscle definition that was truly impressive. She could not resist! :D

have you seen their j rock singers? the oppositte from u probably

2naruto1 04-04-2009 05:44 AM

well if that is true it is good news for me lolololol

joeyj 04-04-2009 06:00 AM

Some girls there prefer the skinny rocker type but also there are plenty of girls in Japan that love brawn... Height might be a factor as I think that's what most girls in Japan are looking for, but I don't think that would eliminate you from getting a girl... I had a friend there that wasn't tall at all and he was able to get a girlfriend.

It also might be the job you are working in. When I was there I worked as a drink/food runner and had pretty good luck..

Finnish people have very good way to loose muscles and weight.
drink strong alchohol drinks (like "sake") for long time, no eating or drinking anything else, maybe water. for month or 2 and you got no muscles left :S

I saw so many of my friends get girlfriends in no time but there I was having no luck. I'm a short guy but I'm pretty good looking and I have a muscular build. Also, I do have pretty bad cauliflower ears. I got them from doing jiujitsu and I slacked off and never got them drained so it is possible that they are intimidated by that? I'm not sure if this is true but my buddy said my problem may be that I don't fit the Japanese girl's standard of beauty. Its quite a shock for me because in the states I find that girls prefer muscular over skinny. I always assumed it was true for Japan as well.

I'm no relationships expert, but I don't think it's your body-type that's the problem. A body is a body. Not every Japanese women is exactly a model; peoples standards differ... or, to put it less cynically, people's personal preferences differ.

The problem is, IMO, you just didn't meet the right people.

ozkai 05-12-2009 11:12 AM

I met plenty of women that felt good and secure with muscular men.

StriderX 06-01-2009 12:57 AM

I'm 5'3, blond hair, blue eyes, I believe I'm very handsome (though I gained weight like say from 130 to 210 pounds but down at 175 pounds and definitely getting back to my ol' slim self, especially after reading this thread). My biggest flaws, IMO, are my shyness (which I'm starting to try and get over). I am good at conversations with the opposite sex nonetheless, but of course the girls I meet are usually into the tall muscular, athletic type (shallows). I love track and swimming, but any other sport....suck!! Good with literature (writing and a bit of poetry) and with computers.

How do Japanese women feel about body hair like chest hair, and back hair for that matter? Do I need to go waxing/shave it off?

Jok3r 06-04-2009 02:58 PM

become a sumo wrestler and your chances might just increase.

Do Japanese women like back hair?

What a coincidence! Wasn't that a question on Double Jeopardy last week?
