This whole question seems pretty ridiculous...
Have we determined what supposed benefits a Japanese boyfriend has in relation to a Chinese, Korean, American, Canadian, Brit, etc?
My boyfriend's Japanese, born in Canada, and so far the only plus I can see that is directly related to his intrinsic "Japanese"-ness is that he also speaks Japanese.

So I would like to have a Japanese boyfriend... But there shouldn't even be a "why?" attached.

A Japanese guy born and raised in a western country is the nationality of that country in which he is born. There is a huge difference in thinking between those Japanese who are born and raised in Japan.

My Chinese teacher talked about Chinese boys a lot and their habits.
I laughed a lot.
We usually talk about differences between Western and Asian people and habits, and we laugh a lot.

So I think, I wanna try. At least it's good for an experience.

Yes, I agree with you. Generally speaking I would say yes. I will tell you a few issues Japanese guys have with western girls.

1. Showing public affection.
2. Expectations. ex: Do I really have to compliment them as much? What, buy flowers? It's sweet if I open the door for them?
3. In the western world a woman can be consider to have a normal or good body but could be considered a little fat in the Japanese world.
4. If you are not lady-like it's huge turn-off. However, for most people I think, a vulgar or wild girl is a turn-off for anyone.

100%... Asians, specifically Japanese just seem to appeal more physically attractive. And its not in a shallow way, its simply because its not a race of people I was raised around. Many of my Japanese friends feel the same way about Americans, simply not something they're used to.
So I would chalk it up to exoticism.
