Pretty slim, but if you want it, go for it. If you end up in Japan it'll probably only take you a year or two to figure out if you're going to break into the industry or not and that's not exactly a huge waste of your life or anything. Plus you'll have a university degree under your belt and will be able to get some sort of employment.
