The stuff you get at the grocery store, even if it's a Japanese/Asian grocery store, is not going to come close to matching the real deal. If you ever get to Japan, most ramen-ya make their own ramen, or at least make their ramen with fresh noodles.

Actually come to think of it, there are some pretty good ramen shops outside of Japan too. I've had some dang good ramen in Honolulu (Hawaii), and some decent ramen in Seattle as well. I'm sure you can find a good ramen shop in any major metropolitan city.
