i have not seen a movie in my native tounge for atleast 4 years. only whatched them in english. same goes for music. and what happened? i scored amog top 100 in my countys 12th grade english exams, besides i didnt attend atleast half of my english leasons. at least half - i feel i should stress this... and because of all the movies i had seen i did great. also i didnt prepare for international certificate in english - IELTS (like TOIFEL only more aimed for europe) and got 8 out of 9.

this is my suggestion for those who have time on their hands. not only you will learn the language but also cultures, tradtitions and etc.

im saying this because it works..works for me and i hope it will work for you.
