Exciting anime?

I'm looking for some exciting anime.
(No, I don't mean ecchi, but excitement as in suspense. )

Death Note managed to have me on pins and needles during the last couple of episodes, and I could hardly wait to see what happened - it was just plain exciting, and that's what I'm looking for here, people.

Apart from that, I think I could get to like a lot of different genres. As long as it can actually be exciting and not too clichéd*, feel free to suggest whatever you want.

*) Yes, I know. Asking for a non-clichéd anime is asking for a lot, but I'm willing to settle for something that hasn't been done fifty billion times before. )

Naruto's a good one...Shippuden's gettin' awesome!! XD The suspense just keeps on comin', so I recommend that one...hmm...any others? Vampire Knight was good, but I took a break from it to focus on Naruto. XD lol
