HALLOWEEN in Japan ???

Halloween has been getting bigger every year since I arrived.
I expect over 100 people to attend my Halloween costume party this year.

Maybe one year I'll be able to come to Japan around Halloween time~ I think it would be a great experience (^^) Especially if you can get tickets to that yearly(?) concert thing in Tokyo.

it seems people feed off the torment of those they think fall in to place lower than they do where I live.However, that doesn't seem to effect me.
i quite enjoy the reactions i get from coming to school in my favorite gothic lolita dress, a pair of cat ears, some army boots, make up, and floresent striped socks(lime green or purple). then the next day it's a pair of jeans, converse and my fave band tee. then the next day something extreme...etc.
it really depends on my mood...

heh, awesome. I applaud doing what you want/believe, despite how society or the people around you feel about it (with a few exceptions.) heh, I'm not sure how I feel about attempting to get famous as a form of revenge...but if it floats your boat, go for it.

haha new years celebration in the US is really different than that of japan. shit, i wouldn't mind taking off of work for three days and celebrate the coming of the new year. because i'm still young, it's more of a party night rather than a mochi and family type of day. we stay up all night partying and burning fireworks and basically get drunk.

obon, yeah we celebrate that here in hawaii. it's probably on a smaller scale than that of japan also, but it's here. i used to go when i was a child, but i'm too old for it already. i remember the last time that i went though, there were mostly little children and a lot of old people dancing.

Masegu's point is that Halloween is an American holiday, so why should people in Japan be expected to celebrate it. Just as Obon is an Japanese holiday, so we don't recognize it in America.

In japan they don't celebrate holloween i think that is why they have cosplay and like harajuuku, and gothic lolita and ect....maybe or maybe not....nevermind...i really dunno...sOrry
