o_o Wow XD

I've always played electric guitar, and more recently picked up playing piano. Oh, I play classical guitar too. I really REALLY wanna learn to play the violin, but everyone says it's supposedly "hard" to learn unless you start at a young age. I don't understand why it would be. Anyone have any insight on that?

I don't see any reason it would be much harder. Maybe because it's held differently, and it takes a while to get used to it's position?

Usually when someone says it's hard unless you "start at a young age" it's because it's harder to adapt to it. So....the only reason I can think of is, like I said, how it's held (under the chin, extending away from the body)

(Yes, I must play all those instruments and nothing is going to stop me.) I think it depends on you a lot people said the Clarinet was an extremely hard instrument to play in general and I find it easy. My sister also played the Violin and she said it was easy; it really depends on how interested you are in learning and how hard you are willing to work.

I'm a guitarist, like many people these days. But I also sing, which can be counted as an instrument.

Also, I'd love to play drums and the saxophone.

Yeah, it's all about personal abilities and talents, so generalizations like that never deter me, I just have yet to get my hands on a violin, hahaha. I'd learn myself if I had to, even if it's not the "perfect form." I shall persevere ;]

Yeah, whenever people say they play the guitar, the reaction for me is usually just "meh, that's cool," which I find annoying, since I take pride in my hard-earned skill and countless hours of practice. At times like that, I wish I could have my guitar with me and bust out classical gas or something to shove that "meh" up their arse. Hahahah, I know, that was stupid, but it's just something random that I hate.

I play piano and violin. As of now, I do play the piano more. I really haven't picked up a violin since sixth grade (I'm a freshman at high school now).

I don't really have an instrument I would like to play at the moment. I'm really content with the piano.

I played the violin as a child but then gave it up. I really wish I didn't >.<
