Although some of the people are right Japan is somewhat a real party town so you'll be around alot of drunk people speacially once the work days are over and the bars are crowded so I would suggest taking some procatiouns like Houstek said. Just be carefull!!! (I finally yelled

Mmmmmmm there all good I would suggest postponing your trip tell your at least 21 so you could drink saki and beer, most of there food is beer food hahahahahaha. I'm hungry now

They weren't being mean nor were they putting you down. They were just informing you that you wouldn't be able to do much of anything at the age of 15 if you go, unless you bring an adult along. What's so difficult to understand about that?
