Photos from Nyororin - 09-06-2009, 07:42 AM

I hate to make a new thread just to post pics I took, but it doesn`t really look like there is much option.

Anyway - the weather here is absolutely beautiful today - 32C (something like 89~90F) with 40% humidity - so it seemed an utter waste to sit around at home. So I drove around a bit and dropped by 東別院, mainly because I`d never actually gone there.

There wasn`t a whole lot to see, but I did snap a fairly decent picture before heading elsewhere.

So... A very fresh pic. Maybe 2 hours old at most?

I guess since I made a whole new thread I`ll drop in and post other totally random pictures.

That's a great pic! I am working on a translation now about Buddhism in Japan, so a trip to a temple would help me get my head in the game.

I normally only take photos for my own amusement, so don`t expect anything amazing. If anyone has any requests though, I`ll possibly try to take a picture of such. :P

But - since I made the thread here are a few more random ones.

Another from today. I just liked the way it looked, plus leaves were blowing around. You can tell autumn is on the way, even though it`s still hot.

About 2 weeks ago - we were up here. The photo is one of a series I took to make an HDR shot, but this one looked cooler than the result.

And... One taken this spring. That is my husband and son there in the corner. The tower in the middle is the oldest standing wooden one of it`s height. (It`s not the oldest, and it`s not the tallest, but it`s the greatest combination of the two... 25m, last rebuilt in 1627. The main gate for the place was last rebuilt in 1196, so I`m assuming that the original was somewhere around the same age.) It`s one of our local time killing spots so I have 50 million pictures of the place.

So - I guess we should get rid of all the OTHER photography threads in member creativity too huh?
:P

Pics Your Life is for a small number of pictures - a max of 3 a day, and not any huge series. I have about 50 or so pics on hand that I intend to post. So no, this thread does not belong there.

Feel free to take a walk through the Member Creativity section and check out the photography of other members too.

On the Japan Trip Reports board, each person has their own thread with pics, so why is it a big deal? Maybe just move it down to that board, since this is pictures of a "trip in Japan"...

Or leave it alone and just enjoy the nice pics. That's a possibility too.

Beautiful images. Very nice work.

(Thread moved to Japan trip reports sub-forum to cut out un-needed bickering.)

Edit: corrected the message of merged threads.
