Well I would have to say Gucci.
I'm not into all of that handbag stuff so a simple clutch would do for me like these......

Gucci and LV own a lot more than just their signature lines. Gucci owns Alexander McQueen.

...McQueen.

Neither, everyone and their sister carries Louis V or Gucci. If you want to make an impression, you need a Hermes bag. The most popular model sold at the Marunouchi store sells for 2 million yen, and there is a waiting list.

I have a couple pairs of John Lobb shoes which are made by Hermes, they are the best in the world,

Hermes are amazing. You just can't go wrong with a classic birkin, they're so timeless and well built. I waver about the scarves.

I like Chloe a lot too.

In fact, if I were to compose some sort of list i don't think Louis V and Gucci even make my top-five. Too many tacky knock-offs about and I prefer something with more subtlety.

That's a point. I much prefer Burberry actually, it's popular in Japan, but not so popular that everyone has it. I get a lot of compliments on my burberry ties.

As for Hermes, I've been thinking of picking up a Hermes tie, but every time I go to the Osaka store, they're closed. I don't get it.

I have say, for accesories I avoid most luxury brands. Anything with a monogram especially or even any signature bag i.e. the Birkin. To me they are just a sign of wealth more then anything and usually the design is average, only usually seen as so amazing due to all the hype surrounding them.

But for apparel the last few seasons of both LV and Gucci have been pretty amazing for men's wear. Since Tom Ford left Gucci the brand really took a big dive but under direction of Frida Giannini it is looking fantastic. Still ticking all the classic Gucci boxes of sharp tailoring etc but with a much younger comtemporary look.

Same deal goes for LV. Although Marc Jacobs is creative directer I often wonder how much designing he actually does there.

You all seem to have too much money, don't you?
Or well ok, maybe LV and Gucci aren't as expensive in your countries as they are here.
In Germany, you pay almost 1000 Euros for the bags shown on the first page in this thread... I can't afford to buy such an expensive bag anyway -__-
I prefer Guess or Gabor ^^
