Darn it! - 05-31-2007, 04:12 AM

I must seemed like an idiot when I bought it, hehe...but i do like it. guess i am old at heart. It is really light. not as thick as the other kimonos around because it is mainly 2 thin sheets of silk. I kinda knew it was for older people, but i really liked it. Thanks a lot.

Great for tea ceremony. Not quite sure about season can't quite figure out how heavy the silk is and the pattern is a little confusing for me I will have to consult my japanese grandmother who is a professional kimono dresser.

I had another look at it and it probably is a bit too patterned for someone in their 40's so I would say young to mid 30's. The under robe kinda makes it a bit younger. It is quite formal though and more of a spring summer robe.

I also noticed that a lot of Japanese celebrities/models have colored done-up nails, with different patterns, sparkles, and shapes everywhere. I was just wondering why this so popular.

Can't tell you why it is so popular except they love colourful pretty things. I had a nail business when i lived there and did that type of thing and I was always busy, they love it! The more outrageous and tacky the better!

You can tell this woman is married. The colors are sober and the sleeves do not droop.
