Eh, I dunno. Perhaps because of their high mental capacity and diet, some animals just don't seem meant to be eaten. Though I'd prolly feel the same way about the more "traditional" meats if I spent time raising cows and chickens.

Yea in china they serve them all good just like teriaki chicken in the U.S. its really good you could go around to every corner and they will have it. I would never eat a cat or dog in the U.S. speacially with all thge meds you people fill there vains up with hahahaha.

Horse meat isn't really really good its kind of tough its not fatty like cow meat the whole horse is nothing but pure muscle it tastes strong too, Tenchu do you remember in the army how they would give you the rashions and theres that package they give you thats kind of like meatloaf? the way that peice of meat taste is like how horse meat taste. Hahahahahahahaha thats what we call it in the marines either "horse meat" or "Dog Food" Hahahahahahahahaha no one will ever find out what that mystery meat is .
Tenchus right though a cold beer is good with anything.

Deer meat that tasted like beef? Someone must have really worked on marinating it, because it shouldn't. I like deer ribs and deer jerky, but I will pass on any other parts. And the longer it ages the stronger the gamey taste gets. Basically if its not cooked right were the animal was shot, I can pass on it.

Horse, I have probably had, but I am not sure whether that's what any of the various "mystery meats" were that I have ingested. I know more than one restaurant I patronized over the years were busted for serving it.

And raising beef cattle or other mammals commonly raised for food doesn't seem to make any difference in the appetite for most people I have known. One grandfather was a butcher and the other a cattleman, and the whole family eats beef. The one exception I know are people who work in poultry packing companies. Most people I know who worked the line became vegetarians. Even I have to be really hungry to eat turkey. I never liked it, but after an introduction to the processing, I would prefer not to be any where near a turkey unless it running on its own two legs.

I've always liked horses as animals, not meat, but I decided a long time ago that I'd rather eat horse than dog. I think it's herbivore vs. omnivore. Anyway, it seems more logical to eat horse, since it's in the livestock category more than the pet one, you know?

And speaking as someone who's mommed more lambs and kids than I can count, lamb tastes great. Raising the animal makes no difference to me. I admit it used to--when I was about five. Now--it's sweet until it's meat.

To eat horse penis would, I admit, require a certain amount of steeling the mind. Like, "It's just meat, it's just meat, it's just meat..." Not out loud, of course.

Mmm deer jerky sounds so good right now.

Well as for what horse tastes like..when I was about 12, my extended family had a bit shabu shabu feast. No one told me till afterwards that I was eating horse the entire time. I thought it was beef lmao.

Edit : And I just realized I reopened a thread that's 2 months old. Sorry XD

Well, for a start, you could try some Japanese basashi ice cream made with raw horse meat ... yum yum

Believe me, it's by far not the worst flavor available in Japan
