Naa, that is not weird, that is how most of my friends are/were, I was the odd ball out that could read the language, but not speak so well.

I didn't read the whole letter, but it smells alot of a "dear John" one.
You don't do something to make them feel good, but you do something coz you care about them. I got a wife, a stepdaughter and a daughter...man those 3 women (well, 2 women and a kid LOL) could ask for the moon and I would try to give it to them. Everytime I see a smile on their faces I reached my personal satisfaction.
I think new generation has lost lots of the "true passion" for the other sex...pity
