ア-,ン pronounced 'Aan' is what the website from this thread and 2 other too told me but That doesn't sound like it even a bit.
Suppose the 'rn' is pretty hard for Japanese ;-)
If you've an better idea please tell me

It is not that "rn" is difficult in Japanese, it is that it doesn't exist. ア-ン is as close as you are going to get.

I know, but you could at least write Ane (アネ?) or something like that instead of 'Aan' don't you think so?

No, not at all. Aan sounds much closer to Arn in Japanese than A-nay.

But still; my name is Arne, why did the translator dropp the e at the end, that wouldn't have been a problem in my oppinion(エ, right?)

It doesn't matter how your name is spelled, it matters how it is pronounced.

Am I wrong in assuming Arne is pronounced like Arm with an "n"?

Or is it pronounce like Army with an "n"?

He/she's German, so his/her name isn't pronounced the English way. If I'm right, you can really hear the 'r' in his/her name, and the 'e' is pronounced as エ.
So I think his/her name should be spelled something like アルネ, or アネ. It depends on the pronounciation.

I was actually surprised when I looked up people named "Arne" on Wikipedia to see how their name is rendered in Japanese. I found this guy: アーン・ダンカン - Wikipedia
This confirms what you said. But technically his name is Scandinavian, not German (although the differences between the two are vanishingly small).

However, if my knowledge of German phonetics isn't off too much, I would have thought アーナ or アルナ would be better. The "e" at the end is pronounced like the English schwa, isn't it? In German it is, right? Ich heiße Götz aber spreche nicht Deutsch!

If you mean that you kind of merge the a and r,like you were chewing chewing gum while speaking; defnetly no

It's more like Arene
(when you absorb the e in the middle a bit)

yea, u usually can hear the R, it's kind of rolled (by the way, he is the right pronoun ;-) )

@ KyleGoetz Not completly right the name is Germanic, but that usually referees to northern Germany as well as Scandinavia (and even England). The name is pronounced quite of hard so you hear every letter

and thanks for your time; all of you :-)

and Mortry,
If I haven't slept in all my Latin lessons it should be: Ceterum censeo Carthaginem esse delendam ;-)

If you're used to phonetic spelling: either [ˈaʁnə] or [ˈɑʶnə]
