whoever says they didn't cry when Aeris died is lying.

although, if you hate her like i do, you probably really, truly, didn't cry at all.

But to despair was to wish back for something already lost.
Or to prolong what was already unbearable.

Great movie, but I did not feel as sad as I did with Evangelion. Actualy, End of Evangelion not only made me sad, I was severely depressed for the rest of the day xD

I don't know a lot of japanese movies, but there are a lot of sad dramas.
Ichi rittoru no namida, Byakuyakou... I don't know if it's possible to watch it without to cry =__=

I cried at the end of FF7....err, that's not a movie though.

310 to Yume made me cry (I pretty much cry at everything)...but that's not Japanese ><

On my side, it was Nada Sousou... has anybody seen it? Plus, the ending soundtrack "Nada Sousou" by Rimi Natsukawa is soooo sad! The movie was good though.

So, your answers?
for me, being an American and all, I really felt bad when I watched Grave of the Fireflies(original story by Akiyuki Nosaka)......it was really sad, it was about these two kids from during the WWII bombings of Japan and trying to survive after.....
