That first post did them up like rock Gods, though, and they certainly are not. They work more as pop punk.

Green Day revived interest in punk rock during 1994. Most 'punk' bands you see today are all influenced by them. They are actually something.

They are something in between punk rock and pop punk... lolz though at early albums they were definitely punkrock.

That's all well and good, but they weren't the amazing band with the awesome solos or whatever...

I mean, Pixies were extremely influential as well, but I wouldn't give them undue fanfare...

Describing them as they actually are without unnecessary glitter should suffice for a band with a legacy, don't you think? :3

The new 2 singles aren't something I would call as amazing but they are decent. hope I can really see something amazing in the new album.
