I actually lightened my hair using box color from Target. You can try that and save a lot. just leave it on a little longer than the instructions say

the pink worked REALLY well, as well as the purple . And if dying doesn't work, you might have to go to a salon to get it lightened *not bleached*.

The brand is "Beyond the Zone" for the different colors.

I have the color stuff from hot topic. It washes out too fast for my taste.
