French translation -> Homework - 01-29-2007, 07:20 PM

Yea, i got an assigment for French-class, i have to write a letter where i say that i cannot come to some kind of presentation. If anyone could please translate this, so i won't fail, again. *arrigato*

I am very very sorry that i can't come to your presentation of your comic book "Gigi le Genie". At the same moment when the presentation is given i have a meeting of the Patron (Scouts, if that's what it is in English), we are discussing about more learnfull and fun games to play with the small children of the Patron.
Though i wish to recieve a copy of that comic book, so i can read it later at home. I am truely sorry that i won't be able to come and to show my sorryness (or something like that) i would like to buy you a drink sometime, so that you can explain me more about the comic book "Gigi le Genie". Well hereby i say "succes" at the presentation and let's hope you do well and impress the people who are going to be there.

Take out the more complex words like presentation and sorryness, then it'll make it a lot easier.
Je suis beaucoup desolee = I'm very sorry.
That's as far as I've got so far :P
Sorry, it's been almost a year since I took my French exams.

Yea, i know but you have to translate it like that, or something like that, not really exactly like it. I actually really hate French, today i spend over 1 hour to figure out what boss means in French, then when i found it, i really didn't needed to use it.

Hmm I think the begin should be Je suis très desolé(e) and remember to put the extra e if you are female. I don't have time to translate it all for you, I'm sorry. I'd have to look it all up aswell since I only take French in school too.

Yeh, tres would be better to use.
Use a French dictionary only for the larger or uncommon words, then the rest should be simple enough.

simple enough, Dude ! do you know me, do you know my skills ? If you did, then you'd know that i suck in French, all i can do i speak good French, but then all the things i say are complete bullshit, that doesn't even match with eachother. Like: C'est un nouveau enfant, il a aids... (ok, that was rude)
