The Deep South seems to come across as being one of the most prejudiced or racist part of the US. As I pointed out, I know that not everyone is racist in those areas, but it still gives off that feeling of it. For instance, unless I had no choice, you'd never see me in places like Mississippi or Lousiana or Alabama, etc.

\if there's freedom to be had in that clear blue sky
I wouldn't care if these wings I'm so proud of were torn off
I began running, frantically aiming for the sky
I spread my wings and flew away, and the spot where I fell
was 'freedom'.
with a wonderful family, and wonderful friends
these were the best days of my life, if I'm reborn
let's meet again...

Then why do so many black people and hispanic people live in the South?

Nice to hear, but I know that not everyone is racist or that if I go to a certain place, to expect or make the assumption that everyone is since that would just show ignorance on my part.

Hispanics, to my knowledge, don't have it as bad as some blacks. Besides, we're close to other Spanish countries, so the south seems like the logical place to settle.

As for blacks, probably because of family still being there, or maybe it's more affordable to live down there. I wouldn't know. I still have family down there, Georgia and the Carolinas, though, mostly.

As unfortunate as the answer is... It`s because they often simply do not have the money or means to move elsewhere.
