I'm the oldest sibling in my family. Even when my mom got remarried I was still the oldest. I don't think I was ever mean to my younger brother.(I don't see my step siblings much since they live with their mother--their hellspawns though...)

I already have an older sister. But we both are more like fraternal twins in most cases.

I had a half brother who was 1 year and 11 months older then me. I first meet him when he came to stay with me and our mom when I was 14. He was with us for about 9 months. Unfortunately he did not want to follow the rules explained to him. So he was sent back to my Aunt and Uncle who adopted him as a baby. The time he was with us was ok but he never seemed to want me to be around him. He committed suicide about 10 years ago and I was honest with my mom as to how I felt. I told her I was unsure of what I was supposed to feel as we never bonded as siblings. Explaining to her that I know he was important to her he was just another person to me. She understood what I was talking about and why I felt that way.

i do have my older half sister, we were going along well, but then, somehow, i've always wanted to have someone to act as my older brother, someone that will care for me, protect me and make me happy by being like a real brother...
ive had now.. i call him yAku.. hehe.. somehow we are not that close enough, but i kinda feel comfortable with him.. he makes me laugh and he cares for me.. well, don't know how deep.. but it doesn't matter..

well, the point is.. it's nice to have an 'oniisan' or 'oneesan' specially when they are not blood related..

I had older brothers and both liked and hated it, one was a bully and was always picking on me pulling my hair even beat me up a few times for nothing and cos he's bigger at that age it was easier to b intimidated.
Another was great always looked out for me and I felt protected, it cool in school how if someone picked on me I could get my big bro to beat them up, kids in my school tended to not pick on u if u had a big brother
