i was just reading a thread on gaijinpot and this one person posted:
"I just rented an 8 bedroom, 3 car garage, 2 rice fields, and right next to a river property for 10,000 yen a month! Most of the houses here are from grandparents that have died and the family doesn't sell them and just leaves them! Most real estate agencies will have apartment listings and some houses in the rural areas but won't have these kind of listings.
These houses come in all forms, sizes, and quality! What I did for a month was just cruise around and explore for these houses and talk with the neighbors! There are a TONS of these houses and the people I have talked to gave me the option to buy them too cause they never use them!! But these places are SUPER rural!

i mean that just doesn't sound real. that sounds like some spam e-mail you would get and disregard. sounds too good to be true but, isnt? it's for real?
