that is quite true about both aspects from each point of view and you were saying is you can make something but you cannot be something you're not right

Exactly. You cannot be something you are not.

Yep that is true but then again you could have a comic which portrays japanese characters and as well of some historical details as a different view of things right so it dont interrupt or trying to say you want to be this or that right

Absolutely! (Your lack of punctuation is a little hard for me to understand, but I think I get it.)

Of course you can have American comics with Japanese characters and Japanese themes. They can even be set in fuedal Japan, or wherever.

What I like about manga is that it is directed to a Japanese audience, so translated manga really gives us some insight into Japanese culture without any filters (besides the translation).

I just think there needs to be truth in advertising. You wouldn't want to buy an Indian rug, and then find out it just LOOKS like an Indian rug, but was actually made in Indiana.

You buy an Indian rug knowing it was made in India. You buy manga knowing it was made in Japan.

To be honest...I agree with you. Don't get me wrong now, I don't think there's anything wrong with Americans drawing comics Japanese style. But when I look in the manga section and see crappy looking scratch that looks nothing like the Japanese fashion and it's entitled 'manga' (or Amerimanga or whatever) I can't help but wonder why in hell it's even published by a manga company.

I'm mostly disappointed in Amerimanga because the style doesn't even look like it's authentic, and it's just really not the same. There are some good artist in the Americamanga industry such as the authors of Dramacon, Steady Beat, and Re:play, but other than that most of the American made manga looks like the art from cartoon strips in the Sunday newspaper or American comic books. It kind of brings a bad name to manga in a way...
