I just watched the new episode tonight about Organic Foods. It's hilarious how some people are brainwashed into thinking they should live or act a certain way. However, I believe 99.8% of companies do this anyways.

Judging from your post history, there's nothing I can say to make you 'happy'.

And its easy to take a peek at Alan's posting history and witness his style of internet humour.

Thank you Nathan. I appreciate that. See that made me happy. I'm not always a mad or aggressive person am I?

I bet you some Americans are slating Obama for not giving the Israelis the green light. Leon Panetta has issued caution and has told the Israelis to hang fire. They may be vocal because they think this prophecy will be fulfilled by Ahmedinejad nuking people. That would be mass paranoia though. It's all about maintaining the tension and creating fear, one of the buzzwords of the 21st century.

@Miyavifan- sorry for the name-calling thing. I'll try to be more composed from now on. :)

Ok. thank you.

AyaIkeuchi 08-09-2009 03:31 PM

The Y2K thing didn't happen.
That Theory of the Zombie attack a long long time ago didn't happen.
>...<

Guigoo 08-09-2009 04:41 PM

the gods are coming back, ashtar sheran and the galactic federation are gonna take over ALABAMA according to blossom godchild

Seanus 08-09-2009 09:17 PM

I'm not a bandwagon jumper. This 2012 claptrap has no basis in mathematics or astronomy and is just heebie-jeebie, voodoo stuff.

orca 10-28-2009 10:21 PM

onlybyron 10-28-2009 10:34 PM

meh im still gunna reply to this one

tbh when people say "the worlds gunna end" every one freaks out, think for a second, how many dates has the world had to end O__O' dont think we'd be here "in the year 2000 will end"
last year the world was supposed to end.
and even if the world is gunna end in 2012 why dwell on it, live ya life haply for the time being.
btw i leave school 2011 XD WIN.
now that i think about it, no wounder why they picked London Olympics for 2012 >.>

MMM 10-28-2009 10:39 PM

Merged the two 2012 threads.

orca 10-28-2009 10:43 PM

Lol I think my one got deleted, thanks for the link:) followed it and by the time I got back to mine it was gone lol.

I saw the ad for the movie, googled it and saw tons of prophecies, Mayan calender, Nostrodamus apparently predicted it too, somethin on the I Ching, not sure what to think really, probably a hoax but it's always possible, there's been 5 known extinctions already and entirely possible soon could b the 6th.

Kandierain15 10-28-2009 10:47 PM

no problem. p.s. I don't like the whole 2012 stuff. ugh i think its a bunch of bull. If it happens, it happens, but if it doesn't, im rubbing it in all my friends faces. =]

We'll know for sure in about 2 years.

2012 isn't the end of the world, Mayans insist - Yahoo! News

I'm much too lazy to read through everything so if this has been posted my apologies. :)

Exerts from the article:

Quote:

MEXICO CITY – Apolinario Chile Pixtun is tired of being bombarded with frantic questions about the Mayan calendar supposedly "running out" on Dec. 21, 2012. After all, it's not the end of the world.

Or is it?

Definitely not, the Mayan Indian elder insists. "I came back from England last year and, man, they had me fed up with this stuff."
Quote:

...Monument Six.

Found at an obscure ruin in southern Mexico during highway construction in the 1960s, the stone tablet almost didn't survive; the site was largely paved over and parts of the tablet were looted.

It's unique in that the remaining parts contain the equivalent of the date 2012. The inscription describes something that is supposed to occur in 2012 involving Bolon Yokte, a mysterious Mayan god associated with both war and creation.

However — shades of Indiana Jones — erosion and a crack in the stone make the end of the passage almost illegible.

Archaeologist Guillermo Bernal of Mexico's National Autonomous University interprets the last eroded glyphs as maybe saying, "He will descend from the sky."

Quote:

Spooky, perhaps, but Bernal notes there are other inscriptions at Mayan sites for dates far beyond 2012 — including one that roughly translates into the year 4772.

THANK YOU FOR FINDING THIS! *runs off to idiot friends to rub it in* (sorry Mayan leader for the English annoying you. haha.)

Nothing will happen, The world just so happens to be destroyed four days before Christmas? Statistically there is no expiration date for earth as of yet so it's like everyone is suppose to cower in fear instead of celebrating Christmas. I'll see you all in 2013...if i still come to this site.

There saying just because calenders back then ended in 2012 the world will end. But the calenders of today (Digital) goes all the way to 2999 so will something end there?

Tsuruneru 10-29-2009 08:30 AM

I wish i new someone that took this seriously so i could laugh at them when they find out there wrong. And also if the world was going to end in 2012 why are people still making things and claiming that the construction will be complete in like 2015 or any year after 2012?

I posted an article that says they've found Mayan scriptures that go all the way to 4772, and a Mayan Elder is fed up with everyone asking him if the world is going to end. He says the only thing amazing about 2012 is a special period of time ends for the Mayans and a 'new age' starts basically. I'd also like to point out that the world has "ended" twice for Mayans.

minimin 11-02-2009 09:53 PM

I'd say forget that stuff, didnt prophets determine we'd die many times before this and after all that guessing they were unsuccessfull. so i don't believe this crap. I think its ridiculous

honoraryjapanesegirl 11-02-2009 09:57 PM

Man, even the Myans are tired of this! *under breath* so am I...lol, yeah but I totally don't believe it

Tsuruneru 11-02-2009 10:30 PM

Most people in this world don't think the world will come to an end over a day. Now as for the 2036, 99942 Apophis astroid that hitting earth is another story. Buts thats a 1 in 12.3 million chance it will.

Mortry 11-03-2009 07:25 PM

Didn't researchers discover like a week or two ago that there was made a mistake in translating the Mayan calender into our own calender? And that 'the end of the world' won't be in 2012, but in 2208?

clairebear 11-04-2009 02:17 AM

I can't wait to see what the atmosphere will be like on December 20th 2012, the day before the "world is going to end". And the disappointment when nothing actually happens and we wake up normally on December 22nd, lol.

NettoKun 11-04-2009 02:58 AM

I'm mixed on if it's true or not but it scares me that it could happen

Ryzorian 11-04-2009 03:14 AM

That asteroid is suppose to pass between earth and our communications satalites, that's how close it will get...Hopefully it will block out wich ever president is yabbering on TV at the time.

komitsuki 11-04-2009 03:27 AM

The first thing you learn about Mesoamerican anthopology is how ancient Aztec and Mayan have a very circular view of nature and the world. Those people in the past don't have the "OMG! The world will end!" view.

madlove 11-04-2009 04:01 AM

neh.. nothing's gonna change.

Liongale 11-04-2009 01:01 PM

People nowadays think of time as a line, so when it says 'end of time', people imagine no more line.

But the Mayan time is in a circle, time merely begins again. Plus they have no 'end of the world' prophecy. It's just a time cycle...

When all the planets aligned, it wasn't the end, or when the year 2000 arrived there was no end... but for some it's fun to fantasize such things, and I guess an imagination is ok.
