I have cut many times but only bled from it once when I used a shaving razor (no pain until after it's done) though I know a lot of people that have/do cut.Though the 'emo' kids at my school don't cut its the 'preps'

ANYONE who talks about and openly admits the fact that they're cutting are fishing for compassion...

It seems to me that if someone was cutting because they were truly depressed, they wouldn't go around talking about it.

To be honest this is something I have said before. I agree.

I don't really understand the whole concept, but for it to become a fashion trend is beyond me...

Though I am not claiming that anyone in this thread is wrong/lying, I do think that people with a real problem with this are unlikely to post so openly.

And like I stated above, trust me, half my friends still don't know I did it. Only 3-4 of my closest friends know about it (in RL) and I just....idk really. I'm so confused, and I know people who are more open about it than me. I have one frenemy who literally will yell across the room "Hey J! I did it again last night...wanna see the marks?"

That is one thing I refuse to do...that would mean talking about WHY I did it.And I am not explaining that...I wouldn't be able to. Then they'd tell my mom and I'd get whipped w/ the belt and grounded for life. I'd never be able to sew again cus she'd take away any sharp objects
