A pc for me.

I don`t dislike Macs, and would not mind owning one... But it`s an issue of cost performance. Being able to reconfigure hardware at the drop of a hat for a reasonable cost, etc, carries more weight than the hardware/software integration of the Mac.

I like being able to pop pieces of hardware and upgrade them bit by bit whenever I feel the desire.

Contrary to what they say, Macs aren't more secure, it is just that no one makes malware for them. PC is wide used so they make more malware. And there is a reason why they don't make malware for Macs, not many people use it.

Second, gaming is far more better in a PC. No need to argue on that.

Third, price. I can get a PC with the same performance for half the price of a Mac.

I just don't like Macs at all.

second if its for business i would go for the thing that gives me the best quality..

third no driver issues no vista with all its features that cost to much graphic power.
why do most graphic companies use a mac?

both the mac and PC have pro's and con's for what i like do to do/ what macs suck at, PC is great at and vice versa..so i dont know which id pic..... but i suppose a mac would be better suited for me^.^

Then Dell XPS M1730 Laptop --- look at the 2nd configuration, for 1700$ you get more than that 15 inch MacBook... the hardware also has more quality, read well.

As for the desktop business, Mac has no chance of winning. they are a lot cheaper. you want me to bring some details for that too?

What's your point? That a certain program runs better in OSX than Windows. It has nothing to do with the hardware, I tell you... they simply adapted it better for Mac. Most software are adapted better on Windows though. I don't care if Microsoft did that stuff for their ad... Apple has marketing problems too, they say Windows sucks instead of giving reasons why Mac is better. Oh wait, there are none.

No it's not down to personal preference, that's called fanboyism. I judge and check what's in computers. If Mac was better I'd buy a Mac, it's not like I prefer a PC because of its name. That's why the majority of people uses PC, and very few use Mac (mostly for their job like you but there are FREAKS out there, obviously there are FREAKZ for PCs too).

I would go for a PC.

Both are just tools in a toolbox. It really depends on what you are going to be doing that determines if you need a Mac or a PC.

i like my Mac,it's great for music recording :)

i dont really find the mac of any use to me so i use the pc to upgrade it whenever i can and find it more fun ^^

That's a stripped down version, it is 800$ instead of mine, but still kicks ass compared to the 2000$ MacBook Pro.

I find you cheap PCs and you bring me same specs but more expensive. What do you want to prove? That not every provider has the same price? The point is you can find a cheaper PC with same or better specs than a MacBook (I posted before links), and you can't deny the facts...

PC's for me! If I really wanted something fancy looking, I'd prob just buy a Sony PC and if I wanted fancy OS I'd either install a tweeked Linux, or even just install Mac on the pc! It's pretty easy these days since the hardware compatibility thing isn't an issue anymore.

I think Mac's are popular just because they're fashionable. Even for the Media industry, there really isn't any concrete reason as to why they're better than PC's.

lol true, the majority of iPods are connected to a Windows PC in the PC version of iTunes. What are the odds.

Macs just have this stability. their OS runs great because the same people make the hardware. however that has made them have a lot of downsides, that's why PC's tactic won.

There are only two real differences to me between a Mac and a PC. Firstly, and this is coming from my own experience, the whole appeal of Macs are just thier fancy graphics, so it's really a play thing to me. Secondly, it's not something you can really work with (for double the price, I can't see having to fight to work with it, if anything). I like working with/on computers, and you can't do that so easily with a Mac.

I like adding new CD/DVD drives, memory, etc. And I find it kind of disappointing that with a Mac everything is just there, you can't customize it, hardware-wise. (I'm not too sure about software)

I'm a Mac man myself. I really use it for Music Recording/Production. I have a few games on here (Sims 2, Spore, Football Manager 2008 & 2009) and they all run perfectly.

I just can't stand PC's anymore...

Personally, I like both. I'm using a PC right now, but wouldn't mind getting a Mac in future. Especially when my classes start getting more demanding.

Though, Josh, you probably shouldn't be so quick to call someone else a fanboy when you're coming off as one also. This is almost as bad as the PS3 vs. Xbox 360 argument. lol

A pc might be Good but ive always liked the mac better even though they look funny with their ridiculous designs

Hmm I own a pc infact right now two, but in the past i used my sisters Mac, takes some adjusting to use a Mac after growing up on a PC but Id use one if I had too. but I really love my PC :)

One point lost in this whole PC vs MC thing: try walking into your local computer store and build a Mac. I've not 'bought' a computer since 1995 and that's why I stick with PC. With the PC format I can pick and choose my config and as to virus, malware, etc . . . don't you run antivirus and spyware apps. Since I've owned a PC I've only been hit by 1 virus since 1992 and it's not like I'm not downloading things either.

I'm a mac, works better for my needs.

Currently I use PC, but sometime in the future, I'd want to own a Mac.

I have a Macbook Pro and an HP laptop. I have to have the Mac for my music classes at school, and I use my HP for...everything else. It's great for school, but if I didn't have my composition classes, it would be of no use to me. My HP runs better in general, and I can upgrade it on my own whenever I need to. (It was also much, much cheaper.)

I might get a sturdy ARM netbook in the near future.

X86 is too overrated these days.

PC, I'm most used to it, no hits at Mac though, I hear it's not to bad.

Mac is a user-friendly operating system from inspired from FreeBSD and OpenBSD.

In some way or another, Mac users are using something similar to Linux... but it is uber user-friendly.

I hate the browser window on a Mac. It doesn't fill the screen that is stupid.

It is also easier to work with a PC because of compatibility. PC and Mac use some different programs, so with a PC, it is easier to 'move' info.

I have worked in the "creative industry" and I can tell you this, there are a lot more people using PC's, especially when it concerns anything heavy duty such as Architecture (pretty much anything concerned with Civil Engineering tbh), games. Heck, even simple web designers seem to use PC's more than people like to think. Even though, I have to admit, they do always have a Mac at hand for test purposes.

So, care to explain why Mac's are better for the creative industry? Software isn't an issue! The majority of professional "Creative Industry" software is available on both PC and Mac. Last I checked (read an article about), PC's have more software.

To be honest, the only thing I can think of that makes Mac's better is the fact that they are easier to use, and at first glance, text and images seem to be of higher quality than when on a PC. This of course can be sorted out with a better graphics card and Screen for the PC. lol:mtongue:

Really, please don't get me started on why CrApple are so rubbish as I will need to submit a 17,000 page manifesto of hate and I am sure that it will lagg the server where this forum is based by .32 ms as I am sure that you are aware that it is not hosted on a CrApple system.

BTW. Did you know... Not any of the internet providers (Yes, the people that are connecting you to the internet as you read this) use CrApple hardware in any shape or form. I have never seen a CrApple server or router and I normally only see CrApple's used by gays and other poncey types.

To any CrApple users, please upgrade to a real compy and stop using toys in the big boys world.
