Seafood is seafood... I grew up in Alaska and we're famous for our Salmon- so it kind of comes naturally.

Same with the Japanese, who were infatuated with the idea that every summer I throw away POUNDS of salmon eggs...

To me, sushi tastes almost fruitlike- and anything fried is fine with me!

But clams and things without eyeballs tend to freak me out.

Oh i love clams! Fried, in the shell, in soup they are all good.

Me too. I don't like fish too much (I got really sick on some), but shrimp, crab, abalone is great.

Why would you make a thread about something you hate?

That's exactly how I am. I eat sushi and shell fish maybe tuna( from a canlol) but i really dislike fried and most baked fish.

Seafood is easily damaged during transportation. Without complete logistics, people can not enjoy seafood.

If you want to talk about "seafood from Japan", you must check how the seafood transported to your location. Or try seafood in Japan!

I hate seafood also. It's pretty grody.

seiki 06-20-2009 03:48 AM

It is gross some times it depends on if it is fresh which you can tell because it won't smell fishy but like the ocean. I have seen footage about the giant fish market in japan where people sell tuna that is like 300 pounds. It looked pretty cool.
