Houston, Tx Favorite Foods :)
My country is America. My state is Texas, And city Houston. -Fried Chicken -Tacos -And Hot Wings |
I'm from Illinois (USA), our main famous food is Chicago-style pizza, which is it has a thick crust, and the pizza is upside down in a way. The cheese is on the bottom, then the toppings, then the sauce. The most famous pizza place here is LouMalnates...Damn I want some now, haha. Chicagoans are also known for not putting ketchup on their hot dogs, if you get a hot dog with everything on it, you either have to tell them to put ketchup on it or you have to put it on yourself.

I'm sure there are heaps of delicious Native American recipes, right? Come on people, teach me already!
New Zealand: Hangi(haa-ng-ee). Meat and vegetables baked deep in the earth for hours over hot coals. The US has their own version of it, called the New England clam bake I think. Both can be pulled off in a conventional oven now, with similarly awesome results. Cook Islands: Rukau (roo-co) (aka taro leaves). Onions, meat or fish are prepared and then wrapped up in the taro leaves after adding the coconut cream, salt and pepper. This is wrapped in foil and baked in the oven until just right. Poke (pork-eh). Kind of a sweet I guess, although it's more a staple food. Arrowroot, overripe banana and coconut cream are the basic ingredients. Think of it as a baked banana pudding and you're not too far off. It's deep purple in colour and babies LOVE it. There's quite a lot more but hey those are my favourites. :kittycake: OMNOMNOM. |
I'm from the South part of the US, a lot of what we eat has been influenced by African Americans, Native Americans and Spanish.
My state invented Key Lime Pie :) |
I live in Germany.
Mh, I think it´s german "Currywurst" ;) And "Sauerkraut". |
Well... I'm Mexican. I live in Mexicali, Baja California.
The specialty here is: Carne asada tacos (loaf meet tacos I think) Chinese Food. There are LOTS and LOTS of Chinese people in my city... which means that there are lots of Chinese food restaurants. Mexicali's Chinese food is one of the WORLD'S FINEST CHINESE FOOD. Also... we have Mole, Pozole, Menudo and birria. I'll look for pictures. Almost everything is very spicy... including Chinese food. But the mexicans love spicy food.:vsign: |
I live in Austria and the food we eat here the most is "Wiener Schnitzel (Viennese Schnitzel)"
which is crumbed pork , served with fries. We also have "kässpätzle" which is Thimble dumplings made with cheese and served with a green salad. |
