Hilarious Commercial

How much of the Japanese lyrics can you hear? Tell me what you can even if it's just a word or two.

(To those who don't know of me, this isn't for me. I can hear all of it and I will give it to you in a day or two after a few people have tried.)

I think I heard ”おかさん”、"息子さん”、”忘れた”。

Good start! The word is おかあさん, though.

Thanks for the very active participation! I'll never do this again; That's for sure.

When I work my ass off answering your questions, it's all taken for granted. When I ask you a question, it's ignored. Nice forum!

@Maxful
You're my man. I'll send you the lyrics via PM.

Kasomi 01-08-2011 03:43 AM

Well, you posted this today... give me a chance to answer, masaegu!

I heard quite well "Okaa san ga wasureta" then "Musuko-san..." and the rest is lost. Oh, and I heard benkyou, but couldn't catch the first lyrics besides that...

The pronunciation is all foreigner sounding. I heard 受験便所. I also heard 宇宙-Sunday.

Honestly though what a ridiculous song. It's only funny because of how bad it is.

I never said it was a serious song; in fact, I wouldn't have created the thread if it was a serious song.

What is 受験便所 anyway? And the guy never says 宇宙-Sunday, either. If you can't hear the lyrics, how can you say what you said?

steven 01-08-2011 05:04 AM

受験便所 is for 受験生 I guess. So I guess it'd be on the third floor at a school.

I can hear the lyrics perfectly fine.

宇宙 Sunday = 息子さんは中3で
受験便所 = 受験勉強してた

He talks about 夜食のカップヌードル... I thought he said 安くのカップヌードル the first time I heard it.

He also sings about how むうぅすっこさん was all sad about how his ワォかあさん わすれった'd his cup of noodles :eek:

Thanks for the lyric, masaegu san. :)

This is my translation for the song but most probably there are plenty of mistakes.

"Your son study for entrance exam in the third year of junior high school.
Your son feels moody because you (mom) forgot his cup noodles for supper."

Mostly correct.

It isn't "your son". It's just "the son"
moody > sulky
supper > a late-night snack
__________

Contrary to what someone seems to believe, the lyrics are completely coherent and the pronunciation, near perfect. There would be nothing funny about it if you saw it outside of the song. What's funny is the combination of those lines and this particular rock song.
