If you mean "Japan" by "over there", there's no such thing as "Sasuke eps" here. They air the entire competition (edited of course) in one evening, making it a major event. To us, Sasuke is always a four-hour show.

I thought they were eps. Two eps. One episode in the spring and one in the fall.

It may depend on how we define "episode", but here spring is one competition and the fall is another with different competitors and possibly some different obstacles. Each is an independent competiton.

We'd call it two episodes. Two four-hour episodes. A spring ep and a fall ep. Like if I was describing it, I would tell a person, "Yes, one episode of Sasuke is four hours long." I guess it does depend on who you're talking to, as well.
