Right, that must be the reason because I like him. It must be all the BRIGHT LIGHTS and SHINY COLOURS and LOUD SCREAMING. That must be the reason why I didn't ENJOY HIM much LIVE.
I like his music and that's it. You don't know why I like him, so don't push me off like I'm one of those teenage shit kids that you speak of, because you're basicly saying that all of his fans are like that. Jeez...

Nine Inch Nails? Dude, it's either he or his band members that write the songs, the rest are covers.

All of his famous songs? Yeah, (s)AINT, Beautiful People, Tourniquet, The Love Song, The Fight Song, Dope Hat, The Dope Show, Coma White. Much covers there. >_>

Noone said anything about you
Even so, i've seen him live enough and been around plenty of people to know how it works from that experience. I don't know anyone who could tell me that his music directly means something on a deeper level to them.
I guess you must be the exception.. lol.
When I said Bright Lights and Loud Bangs, I meant it as an analogy that people are attracted to his style of Rock like Moths are to flame.. but unlike Moths, they grow up.

Heh, HUGE exception then.
I didn't enjoy Manson much live, maybe because of the crappy seats, but the performance was bad when I put it next to his previous concerts.
Eh, why shouldn't people be attracted to his style of music? Everyone are attracted to artists by their style, like I'm attracted to Bauhaus because their old "crappy" equipment and deep vocals gives the sound I'm in love with. And Manson is not all rock, he plays many different genres, depending on the song and album.

What other genres does he play
The major point i've made is that MM is just not "deep" or meaningful music.
He goes by shock value to get his message across.

ps. i've seen him live around 5 times, unintentionally. His performances are very good live when i've seen them, cept when he decides to do something like show you his painted white arse.

Some people see something deeper within that shock value.
Like bravery and they really admire that.

I don't like him either but eh.

SMGotenks 04-05-2008 12:15 PM

I don't like him.
His music isn't ambitious and is so-so.
And his appearance... bleah.

If he plays just rock then I'm Nik Fiend on speed, which I'm not. When you say rock it's friggin' Rolling Stones, that sort, and Manson sounds nothing like that. Various other genres include industrial, glam, hard rock, heavy metal and various electronical genres mixed with yet more metal. Basicly, his style is defined as alternative metal more than shock rock.

Well, I think he makes deep and meaningful music. He expresses feelings and thoughts, it's talk about important stuff, like politics, drugs, oppression, affection, etc.
