For me, the first time I listened to it was probably from my cousin who was a Mai Kuraki fan. Since then, I've grown to love ayaka + kobukuro too. Still not quite a fan of J-Rock, probably pop rock is as far as I'd go for now.

Though i dont think a poll was warranted i love Japanese music for what it is...... good music. Just how i have my favorite US bands and i have my favorite Japanese artiest as well. Even if you cant understand it you can enjoy it and try to feel what the artiest is trying to say. There is nothing wrong with liking music from a different culture. People who make fun of it are just being ignorant. I believe music should be universal it has the ability to bridge divides.

Matenrou Opera : it started back from last year. i was a money waster ( cant spell) back then and i was at this japanese mag stoer. i random ly bought a mag. and i was just flipping throught it and i saw Sono ( vocal from m.o.) and i was thinkin he was the most beutiful man ive ever seen and i started listening to their music. they are always going to be on my top spot.

Versailles: its sad cause i just foundb out about them after Jasmine died T_T. my friend made me listen to their music and i find the Hizaki and Teru so cute and i personally love the guitar so i started to love thei rmusic/

Malice Mizer and Moi Dix Mois i was interested in Mana Sama more then their music but its still good music. I find Mana mysteriuos. Im interested in his background story about why he never smiles or talks in public.

D Asagi was my fave there and his vioce is very nice. His hair was the first thing that caught my attention. i just have this thing on long shiny pretty hair people. i loved his long hair and his eyes... i mean "eye". The thing that made me keep loving him is his look. i want to knwo what he always have one eye covered. im just interested in the story behind all these things.

I think...can't really remember but the first Japanese song I really listened to was Honey by L'arc en Ciel. I liked the beat didn't understand a word. And then I became curious about all these other bands JF raved about....And my favourite beat or rather song is Jibun Kakumei by Miyavi. My son thinks its an annoying song...seeing that listen to it over and over and over. I think I may wear it out...lol.

Japanese music is well produced, creative, eclectic, wholesome most of the time as well as usually peaceful. That is why I like it.

Well, if they ask me what I listen to, I just tell 'em and they pretty much find it weird :p
