I don't think its a big deal there, I lived there for quite awhile and didn't notice anymore racism towards black people than whites. There are racists in Japan but its much more the minority than the majority.

US president is also black,so what on the earth are you worrying about?

I put up a story thread for the enjoyment of all to hopefully sway away from all the attacking and attacker threads, then the moderator comes along, claims it was a "Roleplaying, yes, kid you not, Roleplaying thread, and he closes it.

This is the same moderator that posts a VIDEO thread, yes, kid you not, video thread in the general discussion fora, and then deletes mine..

Oh, and by the way, I did query it with this character by way of a PM, it went unanswered.

Just adding, we then have a character named Koir who posts towards me in the flames thread claiming I am a sex maniac, whilst another user claims I'm a Paedophile!

I mean, cmon moderators, are you REALLY doing your job?

Maybe it's time for a re-shuffle!

Perceptions of black people in Japan, in my experience, aren't exactly positive. Japan's idea of black people are based off of foreign country's ideas, which of course will be racist. I've seen TV shows and music videos where the only black characters are villains wielding guns, or maids and servants.

Racist images such as blackface and golliwogg dolls are also sometimes pretty popular in some parts of Japan. I don't think this is vindictive racism, I think that this is just innocent ignorance because not enough information is available teaching the history of blacks around the world - which is WHY you, a person of African descent, should go.
