I am presently looking to interview many people about this topic. Specifically, I am interested in people who feel attraction mainly/exclusively toward Japanese/Asian men/women if they are non-Japanese/Asian, or visa versa. Secondly, I am interested in interviewing people who have thoughts or opinions on this dynamic of attraction.

You may think your case or thoughts are not interesting but I am looking for typical and exceptional people, so don't worry! If you enjoy talking about these things, let's meet and I will even buy you a coffee or a drink :) Any inquires are also welcome.

Cheers,

Hi I'm a Black-American in a relationship with a Korean/Japanese from Tokyo. While I can't say I'm exclusively attracted to East-Asian men, they do rank number 2 on my attraction meter. This is not my first serious inter-racial relationship with an Asian male, and I do think that I have preference for non-westernized East-Asian men.

If the interview can be done via internet, feel free to PM me.

MaverickOtaku 01-23-2008 06:31 PM

I'm attracted to women of all colors ;P .But I do prefer Asian & Latina women.

Is this thing still going on? I'm interested.

My buddies sometimes think because I’m drawn to Japanese culture some how I’ve got yellow fever. I do agree there are many very attractive Japanese women, but I’m a white and I’m typically attracted to white features.

However when I’ve met up with another American also drawn to Japan I usually find out the guy is actually just really into Japanese cartoons and has formulated a favorable connection between Asian girls and their passion.

Other guys I’ve met like the “exotic” disposition of Asian girls (which makes sense from a gene pool point of view).

Still others continually strike out with Americans and discover being American or white provides them some measure of attractiveness to Asian women not scared off by the stigma of dating a Gaijin.

Of course, there’s also the reason we all want to believe in; two people meet, fall in love, and decide to make a go of it.

japanlover93 05-22-2009 02:31 AM

YoshimiTheEthereal 05-22-2009 04:34 AM

I'm not sure why I like Asian men, but I do. I think their eyes are pretty, and I like some of the Japanese styles that the men have that the men in other places don't usually have. I think the style thing could influence other people, too. I like men that don't have much muscle, are slender, not too tall, not facial or long body hair, and usually that have longer hair. More Japanese men have this than others that I have seen.

Miyavifan 05-22-2009 09:01 PM

I'm not sure I really know for sure, myself.
But I think one reason is because they seem to in general be more polite, etc.

but also, to me they're just more beautiful. again, in general.
But it's not so much the Asians here in Minnesota.
They seem to at times be just like some black people out here. Or they're just ill-mannered. With how they speak, etc.

Today for example. Really attractive Asian guy... kinda reminded me of Die. was dressed quite nicely... but as soon as he spoke ruined the whole thing.
Every third word or so was a swear word.

anyway... I really couldn't give a definitive reason why.

But yeah... they have gorgeous eyes.

iPhantom 05-22-2009 09:05 PM

I like Asian girls, for the appearence obviously. However I prefer halfies. And to be older. You know the kind of stuff guys prefer are always the hardest to get.

Believe it or not high class families don't usually go out with different races in other countries  only in america is it okay to be a mutt :vsign:.
Guess its more of a tradition thing, not saying that noone is traditional here in the red white and blue but its just not common anymore. Which could be good or bad, depending.

EPIC FAIL.
Britain is one of the largest multicultural countries in the world, if it was largely white, why the fuck is the BNP so aggro about different races in britain.

why are you angry?? not all asian men prefer asian girls. even if they do, its because their culture is ingrained into them. asian parents are incredibly opinionated [I'm lucky, mine aren't really]

I've never been attracted to one particular race of people until later on including now.

I have had British, American, Kiwi, Australian, Thai and Japanese partners.

I do now feel more attracted to "Asian" females as I compare them to your average Aussie Joe blow shela. In other words, BIG, BRAUNY and RUDE with a bonnet up their backsides all trying to be like men!

European women are definitely different to Australians.

I am NEVR attracted to large women, some guys are, I am not.

I find that Asian women, and this is hard to classify as all "Asian" women cannot be categorized as they are all totally different anyway same country or not!

I've gone totally off Japanese female partners.. Friends are fine but I would never get involved on an attachment basis. I'm sorry, but I could do a text book about the subject.

I do have some good Thai female friends, and they are only friends who are single, although they are pretty much career women with their heads screwed on and they are not interested in relationships, but simply focussed on their medical careers. Having said that, they are fantastic super honest, polite and very good girls.

Chinese, I do have many Hong Kong Chinese male friends, not much experience with Chinese female friends, although I have a very close family friend who just married the most beautiful hearted Chinese descented girl and all families could not be happier. She is a beautiful person and a very successful career women as I previously pointed out in the show biz industry as a make up artist.

Korean, knew absolutely nothing about them until seven months ago when a BBQ party at my house afforded me a meeting with this lovely girl by way of an invote from a male Korean friend. Besides turning out to be a REAL tiger at night, she is a lovely person, and hopefully things will work, although I'm not tying her up just yet and treading on the side of caution after being married for nine years.

The bottom line is, I believe that many Asian cultured women do have a lot more Finesse than their western counterparts, they display etiquette, generally have slim figures with sexy being a bonus, they do make good lovers in bed, are warm, playful, fun, can cook, enjoy cooking with a smile, and generally are pretty easy going when it comes to many activities in life..

To be totally honest, I am no longer interested in Western Women.

Please note, when I talk about "Asian" women, I am generalizing from my own personal experiences.

Huh?

I bolded the parts I found offensive.

Do I really need to explain why?

Anyway... ever heard of orientalism? It's term used to describe the exotic and romantic notions and discourse perpetuated about Asia and Asians by white people in the 16th-19th century... but I think that it's alive and well today among the less educated and/or socially inept.

You show clear symptoms of such a state of mind, I mean your generalisations are based on anecdotal evidence which seem to reinforce some sort of preconceived stereotype when it comes to both western and asian women for a start.

You also contradict yourself when you say that you find Asians are diverse individuals then at the same time generalise them as being more sophisticated than their western counterparts with which it seems you haven't factored in the same diversity variable.

I fail to see how being aware and conscious of the flaws in your outlook, and trying to adjust them will destroy your attraction towards the opposite sex.

If you think Asian women are fierce, I'd like you to try out some Scandinavian women. Had a Scandinavian girlfriend once, bright blond hair and crystal blue eyes that'd suddenly go hard as ice when she was pissed off. She had a cold, fiery temper.

But have you actually ever BEEN with a western woman before?

I find Korean women and japanese women more homely. Sweet on the outside but when they get in the mode they are the best.

I'm not going to say much about the whole "Have you ever been with a Western woman" thing just PREPAIR FOR THE COW TOUNGES.

I don't get it why it is viewed as weird and different.Isn't that kind of racistic?(just a thought)

Ryzorian 06-27-2009 11:24 PM

Maybe everyone is looking at this from the wrong angle...Maybe it isn't just the "race" that attracts them, but certain cultural attributes associated with that race that works into it.. in other words, each race supposedly has certain aspects stereotypically asigned to them. Suppose it's these cultural aspects that attract us?

You could go even further, suppose these attractions are primal?..If hybrids are the strongest aspect of something, then purebreds would be highly attracted to purebreds of other groups..in an atempt to produce offspring that ipitomizes the best traits of each respective group.

It might just be as simple as biology 101, it's our on misconcieved notions that perhaps get in natures way.

For the record I agree. Its not ones ethnicity that attracts, but many women from certain ethnicity just happen to be very beautiful. But its not because of their ethnicity. For example when I was in Japan there were A LOT of beautiful and cute women but they just happen to be good looking.
But I mean attraction to anyone due to their ethnicity just sounds you know.. pretty weird and uncomfortable, and seems more like objectifying.

burkhartdesu 06-28-2009 12:29 AM

I see your point, but there a people who are exclusively attracted to asians.

Is it that politically incorrect to admit you are attracted because of ethnicity? It's not always just because someone is 'attractive'

mercedesjin 06-28-2009 01:43 AM

Okay, so I REALLY want to marry a Japanese guy. I think Japanese men are the sexiest men in the world. They're all really quiet and listen, and I like that they all have this feminine thing about them. The next time I go to Japan, I'm going to try to find a Japanese guy so that I can marry him.

... Does anyone really not see a problem with someone saying that?

Also, I think it's pretty unfair to say that any one race is more attractive than another. People are people, and can be of all different colors. A person can have dark skin, and identify as white - just as a person can have dark skin, and identify as black. West Indians also have a history of Asian lineage, so a person in the West Indies can look Japanese when really they're Trinidadian.

I think it's fine to be interested in someone because of their culture. Culture helps to shape a person's values and beliefs, a person's personality and background - whereas race... is just as shallow as the person's skin.

It is unfair to think one race is more attractive than another-- but it happens.

Whether it be a psychological issue or not.

LOL. I remember in Tassie when I was about 8 or 9 in primary school, there was a Japanese girl in our class. She wore the boys school uniform, and because she simply looked different, I coupled it and thought she was a boy. I was friends with her for about a couple of months, didn't realize she was a girl until she went into the girls toilets and I was like "What's Kiren doing in the girls toilets?"... how fucking embarrassing, for both of us.

Anyway, I think this is a pretty retard thread. Being attracted to "Japanese" girls, or "Chinese" or whatever, that seems pretty childish. In reality, you're a complete moron if you're not judging each potential date as an individual, rather than saying "She's Japanese, she'll do..."

There are beautiful girls everywhere. Of course, it is possible to be attracted to certain manner aspects of certain cultures, which can be taken into account. But there is no gaurentee all girls from that culture will behave that way, or no girls from another culture will do what you like. An example is, my Thai wife cooks, cleans, washes everything, does all the laundry, all shit like that. Few Aussie girls would have been like that. So I can say I appreciate the effort Thai women give, but you know there'll be a few slackers around, anyway.
