I was in a long distance relationship, but it kinda worked out because she was moving to the same college, it was only for the summer, and she only lived like 30 minutes away, which isn't much when you have a car.

My opinion on long distance relationships?
They're difficult but if you're smart about it they can work out eventually. |
I'd say it isn't much of a relationship if you can't really see or talk with your partner

I met my wife just before I moved back to the US. We went out a few times as friends (I was seeing a couple of girls at that time) but not romantically. After I left, she was the only one I found that I could trust and she and I talked often and e-mailed every day. We became great friends and started having feelings for each other. I went back to see her after a year and we fell in love and got married (on paper for the visa paperwork to start. Our traditional ceremony will be at Himeji castle in April when the Sakura are blooming). I think it is difficult to have a LDR if you met, but not impossible if both want to work on it. If you haven't met or never plan to it is impossible.

It hardly works. I don't think it's a great idea. I agree with you, Aniki.

Yes, they can work. Mine's great but the distance part is coming to a close, thank god. We're both at our wits' end. We've met 4 times, chat for a long time every day, voice, webcam, all that jazz.
I strongly advise not going into one unless A) You know the person's the one, and B) You know you're both strong enough to handle the physical and mental needs you sometimes won't be able to fulfill |
in other words, subscribe to a porn site, right keaton? :p

I have combined all seven threads on the topic of long distance relationships.
