well when i first started high school my new classmates all thought i was Asian till the day came that i asured them i was Mexican but had some Japanese blood in me. (my grandfather was japanese). I have more of an asian look though and according to ppl that makes me special but i also have a different style than most ppl at school. They usually respect that and dont make fun of me being Japanese or liking Japan so much, though there are exeptions because there are ppl who think i am very weird and they look at me like if i wasnt one of them. I usually ignore those kind of ppl because i am proud of who i am and what i like to wear or how i look... lol

@Daydreamer
If I'm not mistaken, a percentage of Mexican/South American people are Mongoloid. Also, Native Americans are actually Asian. That could explain why people think you are Asian.

Indeed. I've read an article on Chinese visits to the Americas. The Chinese were there first and way before Europeans arrived in the Americas.

I've heard this kind of facts before.

Very interesting, I think.

Isn't it a petty thing to be picked on for liking Japan?

Kids these days... they'll make fun of you for anything! D:

I wasn't ever picked on because everyone in my generation that I knew liked anime and Dragon Ball Z and everything. It was cool to be into Japan.
When the weeaboo fad started, I was in college. I've been called it once or twice, but I shrug it off. I don't fit the stereotype. Hell, I don't even watch anime often. It's a silly thing to call someone you don't know because they like to use chopsticks correctly :3

I've been asked by Asians if I'm Asian. I find it amusing, myself. I'm actually half-Cuban ^^

Bottom line, kids. People are stupid. They even make fun of people for speaking correctly and making good grades.
Trust me. If you liked chocolate, and it was something exotic, you'd be made fun of for it. Don't be ashamed of the things you love!

Yours,
Buck

I've only been made of once.....wait i think twice, but I said that in the other posts. But when they say that, it only tells how immature they are.

I feel bad for people who have it worse than me.
