A coincidence you should make a thread like this, MMM!

I'm getting a full time restaurant job in March, saving up for a plane ticket, and heading out for Taiki, Hokkaido, in either December of 2010 or February of 2011, (Long story) in which I will stay for two and a half months, except for one week, in which I'll be in Kyoto.

All my expenses are paid. Food, housing, transportation, ect.

Everything is concrete except for the month.

Just taking japanese courses in a french school in Harajuku.
There is activities everyday, a week-end in Kyoto (but a bit expensive) and a lot of other things to do with them !
About housing, I'll have two japanese host families (1 per months)
I'm also considering moving there in 2011, as a lot of people here !

You're from France?

Ah, wow. Sounds great!
Out of curiousity, if you are paying for your host familes yourself, how much are you paying?
I found some host families that charged about 30000円 per week, which I thought was just a TAD expensive. But I don't know, I have nothing to compare it to.

Yeah, I'm from France and I'm able to speak 5 languages
Well ... I don't know if I'll pay for staying in the family (Volunteering, I think)
But here are the prices for the courses (only) :
(Being an exchange student for one year is cheaper, but I can't do it ...)

July : 円265 000
August : 円275 000
September : 円255 000

You can't ask for a host family if you don't take the courses.

You can do free activities & paying activities (about 円2000~3000 each)

Is my english that good ?
I'm only studying english at school.

But I'm sure there are a lot of other ways to go to Japan ! Don't give up
Oh ! I remember a website that may interest you !
(If you're looking for japanese host families)

>>Homestay Japan-Japanese host family<<

It is 円17500 a week ( It includes all the utilities) , so the prices are very interesting if you stay there for about one month.

Yep, I haven't seen any big mistakes in your English yet. It's very good!

Ah, I see. I'm actually going to Japan in December and staying with my friend, but in case I ever wanted to stay with a host family, thanks for the website! That seems like a good price.
